Jazz up your Xmas tree this year with our new Kirihimete decorations! Available individually or in packs of 3 (one of each design in the pack).
The kōrero (story) behind the designs:
This year we have decided to base our decorations around Tamanuiterā (the Sun) and his two wives Hineraumati (Summer maiden) and Hinetakurua (Winter maiden), so that we could have a pūrakau (story) relatable to Aotearoa (NZ) and to Māori. Tamanuiterā was (and still is) very important to Māori, to find out more about him we have a link below you can check out :)
The three patterns represent each personified version of Tamanuiterā, Hineraumati and Hinetakurua.
Material details:
Size: ranges 7 - 8cm in length
Material: opal white perspex and red organza ribbon
**Please handle with care to reduce scratches and damage**
